They can be a pain to get out...
I found this image in the old image archive. Someone made a baffle removal 'tool':
Another way is using a pair of pliers and try to twist/wiggle them a bit so they come loose.

hi all
emm why do they put them in so tight , won't come out with a bolt.
ok here is how i have got mine out of a few bikes , normally akros .
1 .good spray with oil around where they fit in , thin oil .
2. leave for a minute or two, take the bolt out ,any bit of lip showing clamp a pair of mole grips and pull.
out they come , however this has never happened to me ,mine have always been bashed in tight .. step two reclamp a pair each side , pass a long rod or big screwdriver through the head ,now have something like a big looking t . get a rubber type hammer, tent peg one and tap out from middle . now they should come out with a few tries.
1 baffle mod for a easy fit . engineers blue round end of the baffle ,in my case marker pen . push gently back in till they stop as you do not want to go through all that melarkie of getting the silly things out again . you will see marks on the baffle end where they are tight , catching , now file them gently ,and retry ,keep doing this till they go back in easy. don't know why i do this as they never go back in again . or get stopped for noise . i thinks its the fact that they should fit perfect . emm.
hope this helps rac

Take the exhaust off the bike. Can be done with about 2-3 screws and it takes 3 minutes MAX.
Get a broom handle or a wood stick etc.. I used a handle from the paddle from a boat. Put it into the exhaust the same direction as the exhaust gasses flow
Dunk the end of the stick into the ground and the baffle will come out

Hold baffle pipe with mole grips or stilsons ...and hit the Mole Grips / stilsons with a hammer ...works atreat
