Just downloaded this of the pc3 site,it gives a racer example & a street example but what does it actually do?
will it make the bike even more manic?
can you use this in place of a .50 throttle cam to accelerate quicker?
STILL LEARNING ABOUT THIS STUFF!!
Been playing with maps to see the difference in performance & economy fuel light on at 58miles from full !! but it only took 9litres to fill back up?
ps 05 model 15litre tank is this the norm?
cheers

The accelerator pump mimicks the old style acc pump on a carburator. When the throttle is opened fast it squirts in more fuel to compensate for the butterflies being opened and low air speed in the venturi.

On the SD the ecu does that itself as all fuel injected bikes do. It opens the injector longer relevant to the speed and amount you twist the throttle open. A PCIII or 5 can also do that hence you need to set parameters for amount of fuel you want and % of opening.
From several dyno operators I got told that on most fuel injected bikes including the SD it doesn't work very well as you basically overlay 2 systems on top of each other.
Up to you if you want to have a play with it.

Our advise is don't use a PC but use tuneecu instead! It's free, you can import your PCIII map and it allows you to tune the ignition also. There is more grunt to be made from the ignition map than the acc pump!
