Well i am hoping on some advice regarding the the ktm power parts alarm thats fitted to my SD 07

I was having battery issues with the soft 3.2 dat101 thing, was not sure what to do, whether to replace regualtor or the battery, in the end changed the battery for a new yuasa and it worked and fired up, but left the bike for over a week, in the shed so not the warmest of places, but decieded to by a solar charger from maplins in the week and connected it all up, and appeared to be sending a charge, but today i went to start the bike and there was not quiet enough to fire it up, nearly but not quite.

So i put the optimizer on and about 10 mins later it showed full again and started straight up, my problem/ thought is maybe the alarm is drawing to much, is there a way i can disconect it, or would i have to take to to ktm to remove.

Any thoughts or ideas most welcomed

There is a way to disconnect it, although I have one and it doesn't draw that much and goes to sleep after about 2 weeks of non use to limit drain.

After fitting it they should have given you a black rubber plug thing and your alarm buttons, the black thing completes the circuits so to speak in place of the alarm so just unplug the alarm and plug in the black thing.

sadly i dont have the black plug thing

and it seems as though the alarm has taken a crap as the bike is throwing a code 41, fuel pump relay, which according to KTM is all controlled via the alarm, its thinks the bike is being stolen and cuts it aparently .....

any other thoughts before i get stung by ktm would be welcomed, i am good with the mechanical side of things, but alarms are not my strong point lol
