Hey guys, I have to have my engine out again in a couple of weeks Scrutineering picked it up at the last race and although they let me carry on they want it fixed before the next race. Going to use some uber gasket sealer a buddy uses on diesel agricultural engines. If that shit doesn't stop it nothing will! While I'm in there I'm going to swap the timing chains. She has done 50k hard miles now and its seems sensible to do it. One snapping isn't worth considering and would probably take the whole engine with it. However although I am more than comfortable removing the cylinders, removing everything to get to the balancer shaft so I can replace the chains is slightly more scary. The repair manual is ok but if anyone knows of a really good walkthrough I would be uber grateful. If I can't find anything I will try and photograph every stage and do a walkthrough. Might be difficult to capture the nervousness and copious amounts of swearing however.

Good luck dude!
I think Jody was mentioning doing this too, saw a reply saying some washers needed changing too? (sorry if im teaching you to suck eggs).
Why do you think its still weeping? Is there anything you wish you changed but had not?

Give Paul a ring - he also has a suggestion re 'reinforcing' the base gasket - at 60k+ miles, mine's pissing out from both front and rear.

I have the breather back into the motobox. Has to be a closed system like that for racing. Before I had the basic breather mod. Will do this. You think something like this will do it?
