Hi guys....sorry for the stupid question. I just bought an SDR from Denver. I live in Ohio. Here is a list of mods that came with the bike:
- Yoyodine Slipper Clutch
- Corbin Seat
- FMF Apex Exhausts
- Puig Mini Fairing
- ADV Monster LEDs on CJ Designs brackets
- HID Low Beam
- SportingWood ITG JC30-6 Foam Filter
- Cycra Pro Bend Handguards
- Sliders
- LED Tail Light
- Auxiliary LED Brake Light
- Adjustable Folding brake & Clutch Levers

I asked if he had the bike mapped

He stated:
If I remember correctly it's running the US Akro map (KM611US0802031Map).
You will probably need to re-set the adaptations and have the bike redo the 15 min idle so it can reset itself to your altitude. You gotta figure it's been running at between 6000 ft & 10,000 ft here in Colorado and has never been below 5000 ft.

My question is....How do i do this??
Thanks for the help

Start the bike up, then let it idle for no less than 15 minutes without touching the throttle.

Just ride it out to somewhere remote, pullover and let it cool down, then do the reset while you finish taking in the view/having a smoke/drinking a flask of brew. Once the time is up, shut it down, clear/pack your stuff and off you you trot on your freshly adapted stead...

I just read somewhere that you should disconnect the battery for 10 min....is that necessary?

First I've heard.....

Pretty sure you just let it idle for 15 minutes without touching the throttle.

No problem, that's what this site is here for
