Had some bags leftover from the FZ8 they use a nice removable clip system which is easy to remove leaving minimal mounting hardware on the bike itself.

Here is how to adapt them to fit the FZ8:

The original kit has the plastic brackets with a metal backing plate for mounting to the passenger pegs of the FZ8, you can cut off the mounting tabs since you wont be needing them. Then just mock up the plates to the passenger peg bracket and drill your four mounting points and secure with new hardware.


From here you're basically done, although you can heat up and bend the support arms to get whatever distance from the bike/exhaust you want. They stuck out a little to far for me since I like to split lanes. Keep in mind you remove these with the bags so you're only left with the small black receiver.


Here is the bike fitted with bags. They also have a zipper on the side that lets them expand another 50% (14l to 21l)
