Sorry Guys. I read lots of stuff to do the oil change for the non-SDR and gotten lots of info of how to do it. I have the SDR. The drainage bolt under motor (19mm) is not loosening with the standard open wrench. I"m trying to be careful not to strip the bolt head. I can't fit a socket up there because of the exhaust headers. Before I mess it up some more, what tool do you guys use to loosening the bolt under the motor or should I just bring it to the dealer. Thank you in advance.

Ring spanner should help or a ratchet spring spanner if you have one.

As I said in PM I never had to do it. You could run into the problem of the graphite seal in the join just down from the rear cylinder falling apart. Will be sods law that it will

Why won't it fit?

Removing headers means you really need to remove whole exhaust system - pretty straightforward except for the graphite ring sealed rear header joint - pita to remove if not shot and pita to put back together - probably need to replace gasket 'cos you'll probably wreck it taking it out and will need to open out rear header to take new gasket - less than an hour to remove and refit if you've done it before a few times but should warn you that refitting the front header clamp at base of engine is yet another pita unless, again, you've done it before a few times.........

.......suggest sourcing cranked ring spanner that fits.

PS - replacing drain plug with headers in place is also a pita.

Crap... Well the old owner mildly stripped the bold head so it seams I need to remove the headers. Thanks for the heads up. Thanks again.

Try straight jawed molegrips - worked for me once with a rounded drain bolt head.

Ok. Will also try removing battery tray to get achess to other part of bolt head.

Not tried that - have always removed from rhs - narrow cold chisel and hammer?
