Well this isn't the fix yet. Just the post showing the problem. bracket on the left hand side has completely dropped off where it was epoxied on. Right hand side is coming away too.
By the way, this is a German carbon seat unit, not a KTM hard parts item.
This is the side that's missing
I'll have to copy the bracket in ally or carbon sheet and then make up some replacement tubes and epoxy them to the inner shell.

When you say "dropped off" - what do you mean? As in what happened to the original tubes and bracket, and/or why can they be used again?

'Dropped off' as in it was doing it's job one day and then the next was AWL. Somewhere in a hedge in rural England the bracket will fester for many years to come. Or maybe it is lying on the fast lane of the M6 being slowly ground down into it's constituent molecules by remorseless traffic. I only wish it had been sitting on the floor of my workshop one morning but, as it is the habit of things dropping off bikes at convenient times, it was not to be.

Only just got round to finding a fix for this problem. Took off the right hand side bracket so I could make a copy in Carbon sheet or nylon and saw that there was some very, very small numbers moulded into the part. Rank Jim Aim and quoted the number - hey presto it's an official KTM parts number and they can get another for £1.25. On it's way to me now.
All I need todo now is fiber-glass in some mounting posts and I will be in business.
