Shall I fit my new suter slipper clutch myself?

I am only semi spaz. But I guess I would need to buy a torque wrench and these tyre/mechanic fellas- essential rubber - are only just down the road and seem to know what they're doing.

I guess I also need a new gasket/goo.

You won't need gasket if you are careful as it's a o-ring. You will either need the KTM locking tool or a rattle gun though. I have a 12v torque gun and that does the job. Centre nut needs to be tightened to 150nm and you won't do that without the locking tool or a gun.

If in doubt, take it to Paul R.

CK - I lock the clutch by putting engine in gear and locking the rear wheel with a Ducati stand removable bar through the wheel against the swinging arm - any reason why that wouldn't work?

I did the same before I picked up the locking tool and then the 12v gun. Never felt good putting that force through the gearbox.

I seem to remember the locking tool is not much of a "tool". Isn't it just a bar that fits into the hole when you remove a certain bolt near the clutch? It's so long ago I can't remember but it was quite easy to fit this clutch.

It looks like this but without the handle. Just locks inner hub to the outside so it can't spin and all the force goes through the crank.
