Just received my Upper and Lower sliders off the www.
Trying to do a DIY.
Somehow my tools didn't manage to undo the stock screws and nuts.
Had to use the KTM toolkit.
What type of tools do they use; metric? imperial?
ALso, was I kinda weak to find it hard to undo the screws with the KTM toolkit?
THe "Y" bracket screws are really hard.
The engine rod screws are really hard too.
Whats the trick?

they're metric
they should be glued with blue loctite so the screws don't get loose
maybe that's why you need good tools, luckily you have the ktm tool kit
I like my kit very much, thankfully never needed it outside on the road

I'm sure someone else was making sliders and part of the deal was that if you ever had an off they would replace any worn sliders for free. Or did I just dream that??

I think that cayote (something like that), gives free slider replacements. I bought mine from e-bay (from GB I believe).
Very vague info I know but search e-bay for it...
