Hello: For years now I have read all the comments about remapping. Which gets me intrigued about how I could benefit from remapping . Why would I want too. I mean I don't feel my bike is jerky or snatchy. Am I missing out by not remapping.
I currently have:
Mivv Slip ons
Grim Airbox
17/41 Gearing
BST Wheels
1/4 Throttle
So giving all my mods how would I benefit from remapping?

You'd have spot on A/F values.

The burning process in cylinders will be more cleaner, effective with correct AF ratio. It will not make miracles if your bike is already working correctly. In your place (you are probably runnuĂng either stock or akra map) I would at least let check AF ratio, as it may well be (not necessarily, but may be) too out of range with your setup. After it you decide do you need it or not. And use only competent tuner who knows for sure what he is doing. So your choices are pretty simple

Boney, you're signature made me spill coffee through my nose!

BTW, my SD is completely stock, apart from 40T rear wheel.
It's jerky, snatchy, has pot holes for RPM and basically unless you're at it like a maniac, it sometimes make me wanna switch to my father's easy greasy CB1000R.

Is there a map that will make it work better without having to change the pipes?
Also, no dyno here and the only guy I would let near my bikes decided to leave the business.

I just bought a stock SDR and it's doing the same thing. I'm looking for a solution to surging/bucking problem too.

There's no reason not to do it.

I should already be done with so manu mods.

I never thought my 05 was snatchy and improved so much. I can't imagine the difference in yours.
