07 SDR vs 11 RC8R on track?

Currently have an sdr which is used 50/50 track days and street that i'm overall very happy with: perfect riding position, easy to ride/flickable, great suspension/brakes/seat/engine characteristics and also looks great...
However, as speed and skills have progressed i feel that the sdr can be quite nervous on the track (when accelerating hard on anything but straights) and also some more power on the straights would be nice, thus i'm looking at the rc8r 11.

Since it seems hard to try out an rc8r on track in the near future, i would appreciate feedback from those of you who have tried both bikes.

I assume high speed stability is better on rc8r, right?
Is it as easy to throw into corners as the sdr?
How is the riding position compared to sdr when bars are raised, footpegs lowered etc? Sat on an rc8r in a store and the default setup felt better than most sportbikes but not as upright as the sdr.
Does it run ok with the stock silencer or is akra/remap needed for it to run well?
Any other pros/cons to consider?

As you might guess, Track days is top priority but it should also be ok for shorter/active trips on street. longer trips will not happen so it's touring capabilities doesn't really matter.

You should take a look at GoGo's trials and tribulations racing an '09 RC8R. http://gotagteam.com/blog/2011/09/01/af ... -lift-off/ He talks about some of the differences between the 09 and '11 models and how to make the bike stable at speed. You may also want to drop him a line.
