camping out at the track aint much of an option for me folks as I may well be riding up unless I get blag a lift in a van. I like the idea in some ways (great laugh) but not in others (good sleep). Plus we might need to be charging various bits of tech over night in a hotel (cameras phones etc)....

Just made a best offer, see if I can get it cheaper, one other competing offer apparently though.
I have a USB car charger but takes about 2hrs to fully charge for a days use so might kill your van battery, might have to send it to you to charge it up as you got the camera though.
Want to try the roll cage mount on the front forks too but it's £35 and not exactly essential to have an extra camera angle.

Well, I'm out of surgery and typing on an iPhone so it'll have to be fairly concise.
Had a really good time most of the day, we lucked out on the weather with glorious sunshine only marred by an invasion of tickly storm flies!
I was having a good time on track and achieved my goal of getting air on the mountain.
On the penultimate session I was going well and had Jody ahead, now as the resident trackday addict, he was going some, so I thought I'd stick to his tails to get my speed dialled. I was with him for a lap or two until I came out of Mansfield, without warning the rear stepped out and I took a trip to highside city.
I scrambled up and off to the side of the track, my arm was hurting a bit and I went to raise my arm and it folded in the middle of my forearm. Arse!
Anyway, I'm all plated up now, two in my forearm and they wired my ringfinger which also bit broken and should be carrying some impressive scars.
I was videoing it on my Gopro but that file is coming up as unreadable , but hopefully I can extract it somehow.

Came up to the ward earlier and found I had new chap in my ward...another Cadwell victim but from today with a broken wrist, shoulder and the odd finger!
I think in future I will deffo stick to Racetecs, I'm not sure if the Power Race contributed, as Stupid Luke mentioned they have a reputation for letting go without warning.

What a fantastic couple of days; great friends, great circuit, great bikes and great weather. IMHO this has to be the very best SD track day get together to date. Thank you to Craig for giving me a lift at last minutes notice, you're a star!
The bar is set unobtainably high, all the group (& others) commented on how SD'ers have come on and are so very quick. Trip got off to a good start when Schnauzer decided at the last min that he could join us. Arrived to find Ginge (Sabre) had already setup his gazebo and had saved us all prime spots. Top man Ginge
Then proceed to fire up the gas fired beast that is the adopted SD.net BBQ. Sank a few burgers and brews as more of the lads (and lass) turn up and the banter and praying to the weather Gods begins.
Wake up at 6.45 to the sound of rain on the fly sheet Things are looking good!
Once through the brief and out on track all is looking good. First session and everyone is getting along nicely, track is dry, grip is good and the real fast guys are playing fair with no silly undertakes ect (that will change)
Next thing we see is Superdan on the side of the track
All is well with Dan thank God and the bike is hardly marked considering he jumped straight in to the club with a highside, talk about making an entrance!!
Anyway next session out I decide it's time to man the fook up and get my elbow down around Barn. And I only go and do it as well!! Unfortunatly I forgot to stay on the bike while doing it
Anyway I get picked up and in the recovery van we set off. "That's 2 Super Duke owners I've picked up already" says the driver. "Yeah there are 14 or so of us here" I tell him. "hope I won't be seeing any more of you lot today" he laughs. "I'm sure there won't be" I tell him......
Turns out there were 2 other bikes down in that session. One is a Ducatti rider that is at the end of the pit straight. The other it seems is getting taken back another way. Don't be a SD rider I think.... Oh dear Ronin
A bit of superficial damage to my bike, most annoyingly a chip in the tank Will cost a couple of hundred quid to get her back to her best but could always have been worse. Ronin's bike has got away with minimal damage and although he is feeling a tad bruised, he is also good to go next session. Will let him tell his own crash story though.
I'm taking it a bit easy next session but slowly the confidence starts to return but its a few sessions before I'm getting anything like the same pace around Barn again. Bike does feel a bit better on the front end with more preload but I'd be lying if I said I had full faith in her at lower speed corners. 90mph+ round Coppice ect she handles like a dream.
Then Superdan decides that joining with a highside wasn't enough and ups the ante with a second one. Unlucky m8, glad you are pretty much ok and although the bike has been through two highsides she is looking pretty good. Said it before but SDs do crash amazingly well.
Then Ben goes and joins the highside club. Damn unlucky to break his arm and such a shame with this bikes recent makeover that she is now carrying war scars... on the plus side we were able to scavenge quite a few track day spares off her, so at least that's something huh

We manage to get through the rest of the day without any more crashing. And although the day had many events we all decided by a unanimous vote that the best moment of the day was Mrs Millar doing Freestyler on his new Aprila, while riding her KTM 450 EXC SM and even giving him a little wave as she went past Maria, we salute you! You legend!!
After a run to the shops, more BBQ is consumed, as is more booze. Much laughter is probably heard around Cadwell Park. Mrs Millar has the good sense to stay with us rather than nursing her hubby and has a well earned cider or 2. Fancy stressing her out like that Ben
A bit of rain in the night but pretty much dry by morning and weather is looking good again. Amazing that some forcasts has us down for 2 solid days of rain. The Weather Gods love a SD track day meet it seems.
Stew rocked up to join us for day 2. As others have mentioned we got a special mention at the briefing that morning. All the people who hadn't been there the day before were duly warned that if they found themselves next to a KTM at the staging area that it might be an idea to move to the back of the queue Was all meant in good humour and I thought it was very funny. Its not like any of crashes involved anyone else apart from Ronin's where he was the victim.
We manage to get through the rest of the day without any crashes in the fast group (SDs anyway) Razy had a off at I think the hairpin and was feeling a tad sore but himself and the bike were pretty much unharmed, apart from a damn chip in the tank
Jody def was, with the lack of a Superdan to challenge him, King of Cadwell. Well done m8 you were flying round there... Flying being no exaggeration, as we were told that he was doing his both wheels off the ground at the Mountain on a regular basis. Ronin and Sabre were doing the long wheelies over the mountain when it turned out that No Limits weren't black flagging for it as we were warned in the briefing. Sabre seemed a happier man when set free at last
I don't think for one minute that any of the crashes were down to peer pressure or bravado. Yes we were sometimes riding around a bit grouped up but this was because some of us were running similar pace to to others. Overtakes were made but I didn't see one by a fellow SD'er that was dangerous or even risky. That could not be said for others out there and I was undertaken and stood up on several occasions at some completely unnecessary and dangerous places. Where if the guy had waited a few more seconds he could have safely got past. Amazingly this didn't cause any crashes but I can assure you some use of the word cnut!
Everyone in fast group on SDs was putting in good times. It was such good fun to be out there riding with you guys. Was able to improve my times again I hope and learn a few things off my fellow riders. One thing is that I need to learn not to brake so early into Park. TJ did me more times than I could ever be happy with on the brakes there It's always a good thing to want to improve and go a bit faster I think. And what better way than on track with friends.
Thanks for a great couple of days guys. Pleasure to see all of you again. I had a fantastic time and a huge amount of laughter and piss taking.
Ben hope the arm is back to normal soon as is the bike.
Dan you made a fantasic pit hand. Can't help thinking that a swim suit and umbrella wouldn't have gone a miss though
Lets do this again soon guys. Return of the Fallen Pt2 has to be on the cards before the end of the season.

Well... A brilliant cupla days witha a cracking bunch of fellas and a legend of a filly. Some great descriptive write-ups and some odd perspectives from those that barely participated.
When you get a bunch of light hearted Sooperdookas with a penchant for track day hooliganism one expects a spill or two and the Monday was an unusually high tally in both SD and IL4 carnage with Mr Millar showing us all how a real crash ends, not that Superdan doesn't deserve top marks for both efforts..
What always impresses me is how fellow SDers help each other out, how they look after each other with one hand and take the piss with the other. Visitors to our particular merry group clearly witnessed the banter and misinterpreted it as testosterone fuelled competition and ignored the quiet encouragement, the astounding helpfulness, the gentle playfulness between the overtaken and the overtakers, the latter more commonly known as fookin' bastards...It was my first time running with the fast pack and everyone there knows that if you run with the big dogs you're bound to get bit; lofty and superior comments from the mildly amused and condescending puppies enclosure about how they were falling 'cos they were playing too rough are made by those that weren't there to experience the courteously clean overtakes and fantastically quick pace set by the SD underdogs and I for one will gladly run with them again..albeit at the back, panting and swearing a lot..
Hope you heal quickly Millar, hope Dan's superbruises disappear soon. Was wicked to see everyone and big thanks to Craig, Millar and Jody for not so much helping but fixing my bike. Big thanks to the barbecue boys and to Jules and Razy for getting me dressed. And Ginge, always a pleasure. Brilliant fellas, round two to come..

If you are not as skillfull as Jody or dont have tyre warmers is best to get some heat in ya tyre's first
It nearly did for me,only pure luck saved me from hitting CK up the arse and then going in too fast at the chicane and taking a trip accross the grass x2. All three occaisions totally my stupid fault and i should know better

Finally some respite in work to get on the forum and post up, what can I say that hasn't been said already.
Absolutely awesome couple of days despite a few crashes.
It seems some people have mistaken our piss taking and trash talk for machismo so obviously didn't hang around us long enough to get a proper picture, I think MotoRonin put it perfectly and so enough said really.
Jody was absolutely caning it from the off with more confidence on cold tyres than some had who were running warmers, obviously has learnt exactly how hard he can push em since his last outing with us at Cadwell , ginge and I are not so brave and tentatively warmed ours up at the back but then had fun trying to catch up to the others after, well apart from that one session eh ginge
Superdan after being chucked off twice cause of his dodgy tyre was an absolute legend as usual when it came down to Tea and food, what better sight can there be than pulling off track at lunchtime, stomach rumbling, to find a barbie full of burgers, sausages and bacon on the go and the kettle boiling, if his bike is fixed next time I'm sabotaging it just for the tea and grub. Nice one, and in good spirits still as well.
Millar was going great until the crash, even getting some air over the mountain, it didn't seem to pick it up on the camera though unfortunately although I've not watched it on the big screen yet so might show up on there. When I rode past him writhing around on the floor, I couldn't believe it, my heart dropped, I couldn't beleive my eyes, that beautiful bike!, I hadn't seen it on the forum prior to cadwell and I'm not usually a fan of white but the bike was absolutely stunning and now laying in a heap at the side of the track, it brought a tear to my eye, apparently Millar had some damage too Get well soon mate, hope everything heals up quick for you.
What a top notch girl Marie was, handling everything in her stride, and also handing it to freestyler too, class.

Yeah, he kept telling me in the pits how he really loved seeing me come past on the brakes into park
I think I was carrying more corner speed in some corners but not confident about lining up a safe pass in that corner so in coppice on approach to charlies I'd get right in behind hoping to get a quicker exit from charlies two and try and beat him out on to the straight

Cadwell has no electrics so if you've gone to the trouble of bringing a generator and warmers then you'd probably want to get the use out of em, no point having em if you're gonna wait around for the others to warm up, I did have the chance to use Superdans after he crashed out but after putting em on once, I was too lazy/knackered to be arsed to do it again
Once up to temp It was quite fun chasing the guys who'd gone ahead on warm tyres but of course that only works if they're slower than you or get held up, but if your running similar times or the rider ahead is not considerably faster then you won't see each other again the whole session.
We do sort out to do exactly what you've suggested though on occassion, Klincky took the camera the last couple of sessions and hung back a bit to get some footage but even then it only takes a couple of guys on il4s to squeez past one of you on the straights and then hold em up in the corners to get you seperated.
These days at Cadwell was £99 for 7x20min sessions, subject to crashing etc
