Gordon,

Great vid and many congrats for what you achieved on the ageing old tractor.

I think I can remember your origional post, from a tiny shed with an idea, an old SD and some precious memories of absent friends.

Good luck to you next year and for that matter for all the years that follow that!!

Thanks for the memories

Merry christmas

John

Touched me a bit with that post mate. Cheers for your words there.

I've still got the shed albeit a bigger one, but all the bike prep gets done there.

I was talking to DRswade about this a while back. (remember him). I only brought that bike coz i wanted to wheelie better and it looked like it was an easy wheelie machine. Nearly bought a 950SM instead.

I've still got a pic of it on the journey home strapped to a trailer in full on standard spec with big number plate and reflectors! Never in my dreams would I have thought I'd be racing it, and then to take it as far as we did and learn so much from it. We lead a Thundersport race! 3times! Nearly broke a lap record. Crashed it 7 times. Barrel rolled it.

By the end i'd had enough and was ok with letting it go. Kinda like I'd put so much into it i'd got sick of it all. At the last outing it was really close. With a slightly softer rear sspring and ride height adjustment on the shock I'm positive that would have been the final tweak needed to get it working. Happy with 3rd overall. With less crashes and if I'd got it working earlier in the year I think we could have been very close to nipping second. The lap times from this year would have had me winning every race in 2012. But Scot coming from bsb on his gsxr stepped the standard up. Proud to get 3rd in a year where the lap record was broken at 5 circuits out of the 8 we visited, really quick pace this season.

Sd is a weird bike. Kinda hooks you in. It's responsible for starting Swade's racing career and then putting him in a wheelchair for a good while. Gogo chased his tail all over the AFM series over there with it and scalped some super bikes. Stalker and Klink won the endurance championship on theirs. My bike will still be racing, the new guy is doing a hillclimb championship on it.

New website for the 600 is http://www.spartanracing.co.uk. Having a chilled year just doing the odd round, hopefully get some results at the rounds we do and get some backing to make a decent run at it for 2015. If circuit stuff is still crippling the finance maybe try doing some of the roads in 2015 as there is more money in sponsorship there. Scarborough Gold Cup, Skerries, Cookstown 100. Will be going over to get a feel for the paddocks next season anyway and feel it all out. Keeping racing is the main thing just now and getting up to speed on the kawasaki. Thanks for taking an interest. I'll keep the new website updated. Bike has new livery done, just need a dry day to get decent pics of it.

Thanks Gordon. In Estonian there is one good sentence: "Müts maha!" In English it is "Hat off!" or something

Those 2 DNFs at Donny were really cruel.

You must hate backmarkers!

Great vid flash!
On that first race in Donington I was at the edge of my seat shouting "Shut the door, shut the door!!!" and when you crashed it was "noooo!!!" as if I was watching it live.. Great stuff, all the best for you in the future!
