Just booked Aragon. Falls nicely with some bank holidays which is a bonus. Getting the ferry to Saint Malo and riding down with a few others exploring the Pyrenees briefly for the second time. Can't wait!

Anyone else going?

I'd like to go there on a fast bike, but not a superduke.

Yeah, not the best SD circuit but I wanna get out there and do something other than Le Mans this year. Booked Val de Vienne for early July as well which is more suitable.

Who are you going to Val with?

I rode there in 2001 and have always fancied going back.

No Limits. It's only £189 until December 9th then it's full price (not sure what full price is mind you).

Anyone fancy a trip? (alternative to Pyrenees?)
I know some great roads on the way down and in that general area.
Ferry to Caen
Stop here first night:

(I have stayed here on motorcycle trips every year for the last 18 years!)

That looks nice Dave.
I've been through that area a fair few times.

We used to do a Pyrenees thing. I think I went down there every year from 96 to 2006 (edit missed 2005).
We would use a hotel in the mountains as a base and ride out from there everyday. As you know the roads are epic up there.

a lot of times we timed it to match the Catalan GP and popped down to Montmelo on the Sunday.

Most years we did the Portsmouth / bilbao ferry. Of the times we rode down through france from Le Harve I can say it was pretty much dominated by the weather. I can't remember the year, but heavy rained most of the way really pissed me off. Saying that the best "going somewhere" ride of my life was Le Havre to our Spanish mountain base. 2 and a bit days, great weather and no motorway. In fact we were only on dual carriageway (french a road) for 50K.

Hit the Pyrenees for the first time last year also on the way to the GP. What an eye-opener! Even getting lost in the 'Parc Naturel del Cadi-Moixero' with truly shocking surfaces was awesome.
