Had a track day at Brands on Wednesday. Great weather, no rain, blue skies. But everyone kept crashing and I only had one session that wasn't red or yellow flagged. Focussed Events overbooked it so we were told that it was four groups, not three and so lots of waiting about between the track time. Not good value for money at all really. Lots of pissed off people moaning.
But I had a great time, just good to be not at work and sitting about in the pits talking bikes. Shared the pit with a beautiful late '70's Peckett and McNabb Z1 Kawazaki. Unfortunately it failed noise tests and so wasn't out on track. I was gutted. I had posters of these bikes all over my bedroom wall when I was 16.
Hodgeson was the guest instructor for the day and I tried to keep up with him every time he lapped me, which was about twice or three times a session! I could keep up for about long enough to recognise his leathers.
Got first in the que for tyre guy and slapped on a Racetec K3
The K3 that came off had lasted all year through the winter and everything. Shit in the wet and cold.
At the end of the day. Great tyre, more than enough grip for me on track.
Still never get to the edge of the front tyre. I think it's impossible on this bike.
I want this bike!
130 brake horse through a tyre like your front one!

Sounds like you had a great day.
Thanks for posting the front tyre picture...was gonna ask about having chicken strips on the front...but not the back.
