Not a great suprise and happily Spies is showing that the right rider on the right bike CAN put multiple performances together.

Sadly....Spies has proven Toselands knockers pretty much right this year.. He just wans't quite good enough to reach the next level.

Fiat wont stick around Yamaha without Rossi. I expect next years Ducati to be sponsored by both Marlboro and Fiat at least for Rossi and probably Hayden too.

When you look at it from Yamaha point of view it loks an ever increasing stupid decision to let him go. I know Telefonica will probably step in as main sponsor for the lollipop kid but let us look at Yamaha's Moto GP effort from 2011 onwards:

Furisawa is retiring so no strong leadership from Yamaha top management
If Rossi and Burgess go will there be any strong direction with the development of the M1?

Lorenzo and Forcada are looking good this year but they have taken a package that Rossi / Burgess developed for 2004 and then had to reinvent for 800cc and yet again to work with Bridgestone tyres. Is Lorenzo good enough to do the same? Yamaha obviously think so now but so did Honda in 2003 and look where that got them.
