Managed to loose my RC8 at Redgate last weekend. Feels like a busted rib or two. Back protector took the initial blow as I hit the track but I tumbled a bit in the gravel. Seems maybe a chest protector would be sensible in future.
Anybody out there got any experience or recommendations?

Superdan runs 1!

Chest protectors WILL NOT STOP the breaking of ribs though! They are there for protection from sharp objects from peircing the rib cage such as foot peg etc should a bike land on you

Chest protectors can and will prevent broken ribs. If you could have seen my bruised and broken body after my crash you would agree.
I go on and on about the Forcefield rib protector in my crash posts. They absolutely saved me the anguish of broken ribs, which would have just been miserable on top of all of my other injuries.
Just so happened that when I crashed was the first outing with the full rib protector.
Very inexpensive and worth buying better fitting leathers if you can't fit one under your present suit.
Their ProSub4 is the most protective available anywhere commercially in terms of dissipation of energy.
...and they are from the UK.
