A top bloke. Clearly one of the stars if not THE star of the focused events instructors. In Feb of this year he was spending time coaching a couple of British superstock racers and a couple of guys who had entered the Duacti 848 cup and it was a revelation. Here were some proper quick guys and Simon is turning around in the saddle and looking behind him with his knee on the deck and giving the 'gas it' hand gesture at the same time.

Really good bloke socially as well.
I will be buying both Video and Book as well.

Good post, thanx.

That looks good, I could definately use some instruction!

Seems like a top bloke, spoke to him very briefly at Mallory last year. As always when I do a trackday I think "must get some instruction" then get carried away and the day is over...

This DVD and book will be top of my Xmas list, was going to get a copy of Twist of the wrist but this looks much better/modern.

Simon teaches methods that are often opposed to those taught by CSS.

Lovely bloke, bought me lunch once!

I am a CSS fan.
As someone who is completely without talent I have worked really hard on the CSS methodology and it works for me.
For quite some time I had a real problem with some of the advice given by some of the top names but having been helped significantly by a couple of them and then talking it through with Andy Ibbot I realised its up to you what you take from these guys and what you filter out based upon what you know to be true.

For example Kevin Schwantz is in print saying that counter steering doesn't work and you do all your real turning using your legs. Given that this is complete, er, balderdash I would still love to do his race school - I'm sure that it would be a fantastic learning experience.

By the way: the piece of advice that Simon gives in the film was a massive help to me at Almeria. The last of the sequence of 3 rights I was running wide and having to bend the bike back round to the right to make the next left. His advice was to leave the throttle shut (contrary to CSS advice) to help the bike turn and wait until you can fire it along the rh curb. Worked fantastically well!

I will be buying both book and video tomorrow at the show.
