For those who even care, here is my last race which I found on a SD card and edited today.
Those were the days.
Sure do miss it!

I haven't been on the Vegas course in for-ev-er. Makes me want to go again. Nice roll. What kind of gearing were you running?

How's the recovery coming?

I was running 16/38. I lost a chain in Fontana and didn't want to fool with it again. 16/40 probably would have worked better but it is already hard to keep the front on the ground. You cannot see it in the video except for the handle bar wobble but I was doing little wheelies out of T-1, after T-2, the lefty before the back straight and between the hairpin and the carousel. Also can't see the bike drifting in that fast right sweeper.
I made lots of mistakes on both trips there and never really found the right way around the track.

My healing is on track and except for a limp. I am doing pretty well considering.
Thanks for asking!
Cheers!

Grr...now I want to race mine! CCS doesn't allow the SD's in middleweight like WERA. But WERA provides apex cones, that's sweet of them lol. That guy in the beginning seemed to be doing only one thing right...blocking the sh!t out of your line! Bobbling and slow but still managed to f up every attempt at passing. You don't have to be fast to win a race as long as no one can pass you!

What shift pattern were you running, standard or GP?

I used GP shift. It didn't take long to get used to it and break 40 years of habit. It really makes a difference in places where you need to short shift IN the turn.
The SD is no match for the 600s but more fairly matched. I would petition for the change using the WERA rules. It's not like there are a shitload of SDs trying to race out there.
My SD dyno'ed at 107 at it's best. EVERY 600 makes almost 20 HP more than that.
