Anyone booked, tempted?
FE are using transponders again on their Euro days http://www.focusedevents.com/news_info.asp?ID=258
Intriguingly, on the page FE say "Coming to the UK soon!"

That's odd, FE say they have just tried them for the first time, we had them on for one day at Cartegena 08!
I'm pretty sure I'll be at Jerez in November - I have the time booked off from work already.

Tony Scott's ESS ran days with transponders in the U.K
They were called pace days and they even used a dummy grid in pitlane so the fastest rider went out first down to the slowest exiting last.
The problem is, once any timing gear is being used, the insurance gets a lot more difficult.
Both Rhiem racing and Swissmoto use them on the Race / trackday events.
