You are cordially invited to the 3rd running of the International Crashfest.
This time it is to be run at Portimao in Portugal hosted by Hottrax from Friday 26th to Monday 29th September.
4 days on track with an Endurance 'race' being run on the afternoon of the 3rd day for those who want to take part.
There will be a choice of at least two hotels: a 4 Star hotel and a 3 star with the possibility of a B&B option.
Price (all inclusive) for the 4 star is £725 and £649 for the 3 star which is not bad when you consider it is full board, includes bike transport and 4 days at Portimao.
Even at it's most expensive it works out at £141 per day for track, hotel and food.

Hottrax are not putting this up on their website for a good few weeks yet so there is the possibility of getting a group together and getting a discount if we can get sufficient numbers to commit early.

I think everyone who has been on these trips would recommend it and Portimao has to be on every rider's bucket list so:
Who is up for this?

I can't commit until No Limits release dates for next years race calendar.

Zero interest in using hottrax.

Would love to go but like others can't commit until I know exactly how expensive the bike is going to be to repair. Does look pretty epic though

Plus there's a couple of very important factors at home...

In principal, definitely up for this. Plus points in my mind:

1) Track I haven't done before.
2) Endurance race sounds cool.
3) This year's Almeria trip was superb.
4) A great way to finish the biking season.

Downsides:

1) Am a bit concerned, based on DP's reply below. I'd be interested to hear a bit more about what's put you off using Hottrax DP?
2) It would be better if it was a little bit later in the year. Septembers have been really good in recent years and it's a shame not to have a bike to hand when the weather's good. Could we consider an alternative date in October/November? First few months of the year are out for me, it's all about snowboarding then, but Oct-Dec would be ideal.

Well done Dave for getting the conversation out of the gates early. I'm sure it will only take 30 or 40 pages of posts before we agree on something!

Nigel says weather is really wet and unreliable after the summer in Portamao so later in the year would have to be Almeria again.

I'm imagining DP's just wants to go with FE as you get a free trip after a certain amount of trips and he does all his with them.

Stalker and myself are going to Portimao in May with NL for our freebee.

I get my free FE event this year but other thatn that have no burning desire to use them again.
They just aren't the company they once were. The level of disorganization is epic. At the Donington park pick up they failed to bring:
Someone's bike, my tyres, my seat, and a whole page of A4 of stuff. they even were going to deliver Nigel's stuff to Silverstone!

So: don't really feel a burning need to use FE again for a trip and certainly no sense of loyalty especially after the way in which some people on here have been treated.
How does everyone else feel?

I hear good things about Hottrax and I believe that is what we agreed we would do in 2014?

I've no interest in going to Almeria again, but would like to go to either Portimao or Jerez, i have zero brand loyalty

To be fair its a little early to start planning, I think we should wait to the new year, when everyone's calender is released.
