First day of testing and Rossi on Ducati GP12 is already just as fast as the fastest bike. Lorenzo on the Yamaha posted 2'02.406, Rossi 2'02.8, Spies 2.02'.93. This year could have some close races after all. Interestingly, Rossi had the best lap set back in 09 with 2'00.518.

The laps credited to Stoner were in fact test rider Kousuke Akiyoshi

Cal Crutchlow. Is it possible the 1,000 is better suited to him?
Whichever way you look at it 3rd isn't too bad at all for the first day out.
Good to see that Rossi isn't having to fight off the CRT boys as well.
Hopefully dry tomorrow so we can see some real times. Bet they get down to 1:58 before the end of the test if its dry.

Day 2 so far . . . .
Cal Crutchlow only .6 off the fastest time
VR no quicker on day 2 which must be frustrating
Despite JL improving by over half a second Mr S.Pies tops the timing sheets
The shark in the water award has to go to Stoner who is almost .5 faster than anyone's best lap from the day before and only .1 off pole in his first 16 laps
I've got £10 that says he'll top the time sheets by the end of the test. Any takers?

Story of the day for me apart from Cal cutting over half a second off his morning time to stay .6 off the new leader was Colin Edwards cutting 2.6seconds off his morning time.
He may just be competitive with the back of the prototype class by the start of the season. Wouldn't that be cool?
I'd love to see the CRT bikes battling for mid field honors by the end of this season.

I've seen the photo sequence and Stoner is running his front wheel right to the inner edge of the piano boards whilst 2 - wheel drifting.
Words fail me.

Looks like Rossi is not have issues finding grip with the front tyre anymore, but it's a long uphill climb for Ducati to catch up based on Stoner's performance.
