Two things--first: Would you ride a bike at 175 mph--then brake hard and turn? I am sure many here would or even have. Would you do it in sheets of driving rain? Perhaps. Would you do it in swirling, totally unpredictable "mini-hurricane" winds of 60 MPH? Well they did yesterday.

You had to be there to appreciate how vicious the weather got midway through the GP Sunday. I mean stuff was blowing everywhere--it blew a tent down and hospitalized two people.

Second--No pain, no gain: Nice riding by the Kentucky Kid--Haden in his "backyard"--Kentucky being a short drive away. Then you watch him get off the bike and they give him his cane so he can walk (broken foot).....These guys are something else.

True dat: T-shirt on the way out was the Nascar logo with the word "BORING" written in instead. Compared to these guys, it's a bubble bath.

Edit: Opps--should be in Hooligans. Sorry mods--please move.

Yep, even the "slow one's" are excellent drivers

Noticed on the tv that stoner only used one finger braking compared to the normal 4 finger ehehe wonder why

Don't know if you have seen rossi scary moment? Too much throttle at an exit, front wheel went up in the air a few mm's and he got thrown out of trajectory crossing a white line while on wot getting a good tankslaper

Hayden needed the cane, lorenzo earlier in the year had to be put on and picked up from the bike to his wheelchair by his crew

Some of the spectators around me were Indy and NASCAR fans and didn't follow motorcycles. But being local they do follow anything that goes on at the Speedway. I heard a few saying over and over in disbelief "gawd, I can't believe those guys are still out there". They were beyond impressed with what they saw. It really was amazing.
