ooh ill pencil the date in my diary, dont think ill take part but id love to watch a 1290 being ridden in anger. fingers crossed a crashfest gets organised at some point

Inters - first one of the year, so entry speed will need improving typically. This is the one area I notice is really different between Inters and Fast - later braking and faster entry and takes me time to get there, cos I'm old and slow!

Can't break my self-imposed limit of "no track days before April" - ten years ago I was champing at the bit to get out on my freshly-purchased ex-Vivaldi British Superstock ZX-10R and I eagerly went to Cadwell for a Saturday event (about the 18th I think it was). It was busy, but chilly all day, never got above about 4°C and after having dozens of trips there, and hundreds of laps without incident, I crashed twice that day

How was Cadwell? I decided to do Bedford last minute as its now on my doorstep. Decent track albeit flat but plenty of SuperDuke moments.

Very cold and wet so I rode the sighting laps with wheelspin on the straights and went home around 11:00 as it didn't look like drying out.
I hope those that remained stayed upright as there were a few skittled on the day...

Glad I picked Bedford then! It was dry albeit the track was damp to start with. Not damp enough to warrant changing the wheels so went out on slicks.
