No I'm not going , but envious as all shit! We went for a lap with Sabine Schmitz in the BMW Ring Taxi.

OMG, what a hoot! I would love to do it on the bike. All the bikes there on the day looked liked beginners, except for the guy from UK on a gixxer thou. After the IOM the ring is next on the bucket list!

good enough trip...the fridays weather was crap this side of the channel, but cleared up a bit once onto the A26 down to Saint Quentin.

Prob1
My mate on his Gixxer Thou, lost his tail pack and it got wedged between his seat and tyre!! everything was nicely chewed up!!

Got to Saint Quentin
Prob2
Same mate on Gixxer left his credit card in the motorway toll booth, and by the time we went back some frog had nicked it.

on Route to Givet:
Prob3
i lost my GPS off its mount and saw it smash into 5million bits..

Got to Brens guest house (www.slidersguesthouse.com) and one of his guests slipped his brand new repsol blade on hail stones at over 100mph and ripped the forks off and then his mates also got fined 530 euros each for speeding.

Saturday was better, the ring was closed due to a 6hour endurance race so decided to do the local roads (which are empty and have more run off than the ring) dry day from about 11.00 am and we had a right good ride.

Sunday morning down the ring for a couple of laps, took the guys with us who hadnt done it before, they were shitting bricks, they have a nice touch there no where you can leave your luggage in a van while you go round the track. We then alas had to head off back to Calais (avoiding the motorways and then on to home!!! great weekend and the SDR never missed a beat! Did about 1100 miles on my standard seat and now have a sore arse....
