It's an Easytrack day. Book inters, have a wee run round for a session or two getting used to the place again then move up. They make a big thing at the briefing about having group space to move up or down.

Still no solid info from Talon. If the sprocket shows on Monday I'll whack it on and shoot down. From the sounds of things they've missed the courier so it won't be here till Tuesday.
If anyone's got a 520 40t rear sprocket lying around and they're between Scotland and Cheshire they'd be a life saver. Let me know.

I bought a 525 link and its wrong. Pins are too thick by 0.6mm. Tried filing then down but it's not happening.
Chain ain't in great nick anyway as it's still the original one, that'd why I've went for the convertion. I'm on shift now till Monday so run out of time. If it shows it shows.

Managed to get by the shop and got a brand spanking 525 chain. I'll fire it on so I can make the trackday then sell it with the 525 sprockets.
Added an extra link so it'll be a good chance to try out that longer wheelbase too.

Try and get there for 7.15 latest. The low number garages fill up fast.

Late 2011 dates, K1 front K2 rear, done 2 full days, front is good and will clean up. Rear had a little bit hot tear that I got dialed out. Would get a day out the rear then it'd be in the bin, and a good 3-4 out front.
I'll fling them in the van and you can see what you think.

Things i learned..........
CompK's are actually pretty good, wear beautifully, but move about quite a bit. Had a few proper slides on the throttle round cascades and another round island. Normal little slides over hilltop and deep leap. Feels nice though, really gentle and controlable with no snapping, just breaks traction gradually and predictably. Dunno what i'm going to do tyre wise for the races though.
Adding 10mm the the wheelbase doesnt do quite as much as you'd think.
Racechrono works better than Trackmaster
Having the van is loads better than the car and trailer
Set a goal of a 1.53 lap and to tidy up my lines. Usualy moan from me about loads of traffic, but got a few clear laps in the odd session. Still finding my feet with these tyres so not fully got trust on the front through druids and wasnt running it in fast enough. Being to feely and gentle.
Got a 1min 54.004. Dammit. All best sectors on that session add up to 1min 53.70 so the time is there. Losing out big time on the sportsbikes though, they can drag so much time on the straights.
Just usual speel from me then. Took another step forward, learned more stuff about the bike etc, knocked 0.5 sec off my pb lap time, and didnt crash............but still annoyed at myself coz i didnt crack into the 53's (bloody .004!!!) and/or make a big enough step forward.
Good seeing the boys again and meetin Stalker too.

Another excellent day at Oulton with Easytracks. Used Racechrono like Viking this time on my budget andriod phone. Simple but works. Improved my passing skills by loads this time, which has always been a bugbear of mine. Ended up with a 2.05. Will probably go into fast group next time and hope following much faster guys will help me crack that 2 minute barrier! Really good to meet everyone. It was like our own little Superduke garage with 5 of us. Lots of people intrigued by them.

Nice to meet the usual plus a few new faces (Skip, Stalker and his 2 mates). A few red flags during the but handled reasonably well by MSV and ET with no huge loss of tracktime.
But best of all - none stop sunshine the whole frikkin day!!!!!! Just didnt seem right somehow not having to swap wheels at least once then stuck like glue to the speed limit all the way home!!!!!
