I have done alot of track days... but none on the Duke... Trough trial and error i have a few prefered things that I do to the bikes before I take then on track..

ie
Braided hoses ,Bobbins, Sinthered Brake pads, double check bike clearance..... do you guys have any other suggestions that could be superduke specific or have you guys had any isssues that could have been avoided???

Hmm, not sure if these are the type of answers your looking for but

Rearsets or rearset adapter plates and new pegs, if you don't have them you'll find yourself soon scraping the originals if you run a good pace.

A full set of bobbins does wonders for the SDs crashability

Not essential but a nice to have is a quick turn throttle as you'll have to double grab to get full throttle and that's just annoying.

If you're not riding to the track then I usually take a few spares with me and it's good to have a decent bar so that if you did be unlucky enough to crash and find your rearset has bent the frame lugs then you have something to bend it back out with.

Beyond that, I just check the oil and coolant and load her up.

My first SD trackday in 05 I used a complete stock bike apart from R&G bungs.

Went great, top 3rd of the quickest group, not bad for Snett a track with 2 very fast straights.

OE brembo pads are fantastic BTW.

all the above and

If you change rear sprocket make sure you Locktight the bolts (they come undone otherwise and hit swinging arm)

Be aware that after you have worn the first quarter of an Inch off right footrest.....the clutch cover touches down next

More than two days you will need to top up oil at the track

Must adjust rear sag as it is set up way to much as standard (do front as well)

Enjoy ..it is far better (more fun) than it has a right to be

Sports bikes will hate you
