What a disappointing Moto GP race on Sunday...

It was a boring F1 style procession, with the usual suspects gapping-out in the usual order... with the initial excitement of having Spies on the front row and Rossi back on form quickly killed-off, as Spies got slowly pushed back off the podium and Vale was lucky to beat Hayden.

WTF?

Has anyone seen or heard any comments from Rossi or Burgess on what happened to Vale's proper "comeback" race? ...Did someone give Spies his bike?

Annoying.

I think the true culprit was Bridgestone. There were loads of front end crashes during practise and qualifying.

Bridgestone fail to produce a front that copes well with lower temperatures and the tyres they do produce could be most charitably described as inconsistent. So happy days if you luck into a good one for race day. Otherwise you have to do a lot of work on set up to make the bike suit the tyre.

At Brno there wasnt time for a lot of riders who had problems in qualifying to get things changed for the race as Sunday practise was wet.

Mat Oxley was saying that going back to a 2 compound front has been a backwards step as it leads to more crashes and rider injuries.

Then in the race at least 3 riders said they rode as hard as the front would let them and couldnt stay in touch.

Rossi never really got into the race and lost further time missing Dovi when he crashed in front of him. To get on terms he would have had to run 1 sec per lap faster than Lorenzo and noone has managed that all year. Instead he was running 1 sec per lap slower. TBH it demonstrates how much better the aliens are when Stoner can have a tyre problem and get 3rd and Rossi have a tyre problem and get 5th. Even with shit tyres only Spies was able to get amongst them.
