Sorry, no vid to entertain!
Experienced my first highside coming out of exit of turn 6 at Sonoma approx 70 mph (no speedo). Happened on my new/old SV650 (luckily not the SD). Like to take the time to thank my Dainese leathers (2 piece intro-level!), bohn back protector, forefield armor shorts, sidi ST boots, held gloves, Safermoto airbag vest, hjc rpha10 helmet for keeping me in one piece! Not a single broken bone after tumbling (laterally, luckily not head over heels) for at least 3 seconds.

Most significant injury is a laceration to my right thigh/knee piercing my leathers. Seems i may have hit a hard part on the bike in my getting off and it caught the accordion panel above my knee armor. Only found it after getting back to my car and peeling off my leathers as it only felt like a bad bruise...till I saw a 1 inch diameter hole in my thigh and down to my fat and bone....hobbled off to the ambulance 200ft away and was taken to the local ER for irrigation and stitches.

Lucky over all!

Glad to hear you're relatively okay. Amazing how effective proper gear can be at protecting us from more serious injury. Hope you heal up fast!

Dude, that's awesome. (The outcome, not the incident obviously!) Hope your leg heals well.
Also, let this be a lesson to the rest of us; always -repeat ALWAYS make sure you're wearing a gopro on the track. That'd be some killer footage! But srsly, glad your ok.

Wow;
Is that the carousal?
I never got along with an SV track bike I had. I blamed it on the 60 series front and the lousy front suspension. When I saw your post with the SV and heard and saw it had a GSX R front end, I said to myself it should be a reasonable track bike.
What do you attribute the crash to? Do not say going too fast.
This is hardly the time to bring up the fact that crashes can make you faster but youve been getting enough experience in that area lately to see you lining up on a Superbike grid.
was it a later session?

Lol. Thx guys. The missus is barely warming up to me getting back on track (luckily have all winter to convince), let alone start racing. Yes, happened at bottom of carousel when things straighten out.

Gsxr front end and Penske race rear spring worked great. Excellent feel and tracking. Just getting a good feel for sport bike-y ergos which I've never before owned. If anything to blame it would be right wrist and new tyres, but this happened in 80 deg weather third session of gradual speed building...pressures were looking good in tyres too up till then with good scrub-in.

Here I am in the session leading up to my crash

I think there is some wisdom to the habituation of crashing...I'm definitely more aware of times when things may go screwy based on what I've felt milliseconds before the other crashes...and the first lowside did tug on the heart strings more than the subsequent. Funny I think it's made me feel more relaxed going on a trackday with the mindset I don't need to wring every last ounce of power out of the bike(s). Enjoyment first, speed second.
