Thoughts on RC8 Drag bike?

What are your thoughts on making an RC8 drag bike?
I have the opportunity to pick up an 08 but I think it might be a little old?

This would be a longer project setting up for next season with a full motor rebuild, turbo and swingarm, but I want it to be FAST not just competitive...
I guess I'll have to trawl the RC8 forums for info...
Is anyone on here a bottom on the RC8?
