Guys anyone recommend a inters tyre for trackdays/racing? I have 3 sets of wheels now so plan to put Racetec Interacts as my dry tyre on one set, race wets on the other but could do do with a inters tyre for a damp/drying track.

Pirelli actually make an intermeadiate wet tyre and it is awesome!
Guys were running it last year in the last round and it was raining on and off.
Deep tread around 50mm apart... Made for racing

Races are either 20 mins sprint or 3 hour endurance which we will try and do 30 min stints each which is pretty much a full tank with 07 tank.

Will look at either the Pilot 3s or Streetsmarts then.

The pilot 3s are the best for the road, but id want track tyres, the new Michelin Power Cup tyres are the biz

Michelin Pilot power 2cts all the way.

It was only a few years ago racers were actually using these as an intermediate when pirelli started to phase the 180 size Wets out (Wets were there intermediate tyre, Rains are the true wets)

Plus if you shop around youl get em for £190 a set

why not just get a set of slicks and groove them to what you want them to be?

Dunlop D211 (treaded) work well in the wet / damp......but you will feel the difference changing between racetec as the Dunlops run silly low pressures (18 /19psi cold rear and 30psi front)

I use them on the street wet and dry conditions http://www.tracksense.co.uk/dunlop.htm

Those Pirellis look designed for the job you have in mind, might be worth a go. 2cts are outstanding in in the wet as you know and Raceteks and Michelin have similar profiles I believe, if the Pirellis have a different profile it might put you off your stride.
