I was at Tsukuba circuit yesterday for the first time. The track day was organized by Ducati Japan, Kushitani and a dealership for Bimota and Agusta.
Since it was my first time there my plan was to get familiar with the track and not push to hard. They didn't offer to rent any transponders so the laps were not timed.
The track felt great. No long straights and plenty of flowing corners. Last corner is a loooong right hander that tightens up in the end.
The instructors were fun guys and really fast. One of them were riding for the winning team at the Suzuka 8h race this year. The other guy has been riding GP bikes and I think he is the current lap record holder at Motegi in the 250cc class.
One of them wheelied passed me while looking straight at me on the back straight. I must have been doing 170-180kmh at the time. A humbling experience that was

Plenty of exotic bikes around. All of them were out on the track at good pace.
