Hey all,
Just don't some electrical work for a friend of mine as a favour and didn't want anything for it but he insisted on giving a pair of dunlop qualifiers which have only ever done 3 laps at cadwell. So my question is 1, are these tyres any good and 2, should I swap my dunlop sport smart max (fast road/track tyre for the qualifiers on the crashfest/future track days?

No sportsmarts are the latest version with NTEC only thing better is Dunlop D211 GP racer

You will need very low rear 19 psi 30psi front when cold

I use D211 Soft Front and Endurance Rear

The D209 was the previous tyre to the the SportMAX D211 GP, the SportSMART which you are running now is the `Do-it-all` road and track tyre and a very capable tyre.

Personally, unless running at the sharp end of the fast group id stick with you Sportsmarts unless they are down to the wear bars!

The track pressures for the Sportsmarts are 30psi front, 21psi rear - both cold pressures

Cheers for the advice lads, been a great help.

bash, are the qualifiers more of a track tyre then and a better tyre for track riding? do they perform better on the track than the sportsmarts?

As I said it depends on which Qualifiers you have

if its D209 they are pre NTECH eqivelent of D211 and good

If its Qualifiers MK2 they are road tyres......its the NTECH take makes all the difference your Sportsmarts are NTECH

any of them are good on the road
