Took a couple of test rides yesterday on the Ktm 1290r , it felt like it had better suspension and the brakes where a little bit better than my 2006 superduke , the power was not as fierce as I thought it would be even in sport mode ,just very smooth and yes it was faster ,but I still think my superduke is great so was not enough to make me want one , then onto the 1050 which I fancy as a adventure bike , was very impressed it was real easy to go fast on , clutch throttle and brakes all really light and a well balanced bike , the thrust in 4th and 5th gear was more than adequate, low speed running was excellent no surging , will be getting one as soon as I can find a ex demo at a good price , take one for a test ride you will be surprised how good it is ,
