Sunday 16th May Jason and myself had arranged to meet up with some fellow green laner's we'd met the week before who knew quite a few new (to us) route's and were prepared to show us them

0645 am Sunday morning i struck up the XR,my poor neighbour's must of shit themselve's with the sudden noise from my dep exhaust as i wheelied off down the road in glorious sunshine,5 mins later i was nailing it cross country chasing startled hare's and pheasant's on my way to the meet up with fast Jason
30 min's later i could see Jason waiting by his bike,a quick hello and off we shot flatout trying to get the best line's through the well used lane's and heading south for our meet up at 0900 hrs with Gary,Steve and Tim.
At one stage on a very long stoney track i glanced down at the speedo to see the needle on 130 kph

Bang on 9 am we roll into a small village and waiting by the pub ready to rumble are Gary,Steve and Tim. I'm already knackered and covered in sweat and mud, Gary appears to have the route all sorted out and after a quick glance at the map i just nod in aggreement, not really caring where we were going,it's a nice change not having to get my maps out and just follow

Gary and Tim were both on Honda 230 F's,not my cuppa but they knew how to ride em well, but at a slower pace concentrating more on the technical side of riding through and over the obstacle's that we encountered

We ended up going through 4 x county's, Linc's,Nott's,Leice's and Northamptonshire covering a total of 296 k's (nearly 200 mile) of nearly every type of terrain possible Tim said nothing.

At one off the ford's on a smallish river (welland near Market Harborough) Gary demo'd the art of river crossing

Followed by Steve,Tim and then Jason,we'd aggreed not to get each other wet,so after taking a photo of Jason crossing said river i had a go

I decided that this was my chance to even things up a bit with Jason as he does'nt like getting wet......i nail'd it

We had a truely brill day out,in good company and awesome scenary, most of which flew by in a cloud of dust and gravel. looking forward to the next run out if Tim keeps quiet
