SD Swingarm on SM?

Hi, I'm doing up my (2006) 950SM as a winter project. Matt black vinyl wrap bodywork, SD wheels & brakes etc.. The shiny swinging arm irks me. If I have it powder coated black it will actually cost me a lot more to replace bearings & seals on top of the coating than just buying a used SD or SMR arm in black from a breaker. Looking at the Fiche the part numbers are different but that may just be the paint. They look exactly the same in photos. Can anyone on the forum tell me if they are interchangeable, I know Adventure ones are longer but the SM & SD's are a lot closer.

2006 SM and SD silver swing arm part numbers are the same and the part number for the 2007 SDR, which afaik is exactly same as 2006 SD except for primarily cosmetic changes incl. black swing arm, and later SDRs with black swing arms, is same part no. plus 33 suffix - so should be same part except for colour.

Where are you based? Have spare black swing arm with bearings but no seals, afaik OE black and not repainted silver, to borrow, possibly for sale, if you want to try before you buy.

Cheers 47,

I'm based in Dublin, see what I mean about silver swingarm. What condition is your swing arm, may be interested in purchasing it.
