I want to give a mention to AMS KTM in Tewksbury (http://www.ams4ktm.co.uk) who've just serviced, MOT'd and fixed another coolant leek on my SDR.

After losing faith with KTM dealers in general, partly due to opportunistic charging (claiming the big service takes 1.5 days & £660) I happened across AMS when my SDR blew off its cylinder coolant hoses on the M50/M5 roundabout last year.

AMS impressed with their easy going manner and customer centric approach. Nowadays the SDR is permanently parked at my folks while I play on the Ducati, so I though it would be worth using them for the interim service. Not being around the area very often I also wanted to see if they'd offer a collection and delivery service, which they did. Here's a breakdown of the bill:

Service (interim) - £140
Collection & Del - £ 58
MOT - £ 30
Coolant leak related - £ 10
Fluids (new & disposal) -£ 61
VAT - £56
Total inc VAT - £366

Without the coolant issue, collection & MOT it would have been £230 inc VAT - now that's OK when others are hoping to charge £330+. If I can keep the service costs down then I may well keep it.
