About a month ago I noticed the Duke has a cracked rear axle part, the part is the aluminium block which the axle is attached on the sprocket side of the bike. The crack is complete from the thread to the outer edge. I have 19,000 miles give or take on the Duke. Mostly recreational canyon riding with a couple of track days each year. KTM dealers have indicated the part is not available until June 28th, 2011.

Has anyone else had the same problem?

BTW compared to my prior Euro bikes the Duke is reliable. My old Ducati, although I loved it. I bought it twice, once from the dealer and again through repairs and maintenance cost.
