So I love my super duke 1290, but I am really becoming frustrated! First off from day one(thursday will be second month of ownership) I had a rear valve gasket oil leak which was replaced under warranty but it took Ktm 40 days in order to get a gasket to replace it with. Then my fork seals started leaking and got those replaced under warranty, which was nice considering those are normal wear and tear items. A couple of days ago my clutch cover started leaking oil through the casting itself, which is getting replaced under warranty. Today after a ride I noticed my front left fork seal with maybe 800 miles since being replaced is leaking again!!!Luckily I just talked to my dealer and they will replace that fork seal again at no charge. But this constant having to take the bike back for repairs is becoming very frustrating. Plus it would be nice to have a bike that once the warranty runs out that is a reliable motorcycle. My only hope is that I ride it enough to make all possible "new model" issues make themselves known and sorted out before warranty runs out. I havent been riding much the last couple of weeks but I do have a little over 6,000 miles in the two months of ownership.

Mate I feel for ya it sucks when you have problems I had similar probs with a Triumph Speed Triple in 2008.
For me it was my first Triumph and will be the last so you are probably thinking the same thing about KTM right now.
I just dont know what happened with KTM and the 1290? It Amazes me that the fork seals are leaking though like what the hell is going on?
