Been riding a CB1300 for a couple of years. Anyway, just got rid of it and bought a B-King. So gone from 108bhp/86ft lbs of torque, to 183bhp/108ft lbs of torque - almost twice the power.
The CB1300 cost me 155 quid to insure fully comp, so I was expecting to pay rather more for the B-King, but as it turns out, they wanted only 90 quid fully comp. I don't think I've paid so little to insure a bike ever, never mind a power station like the B-King. Dunno what algorithm they worked that out with, but they should use it more often.
Very surprised (pleasantly)!

It's some bikes classified as a sports bike or not and also if they appeal to thieves.

Here the same:
1290 Superduke $450 as not classified as a sports bike.
899 Paningale $800 + as it is a sportsbike....
Same rider full comprehensive etc...
Go figure yourself...

My sd came back as a "tourer" when I insured it!
