So my 1290 clutch cover that was just replaced 1000 miles ago for leaking through the clutch cover casting at the previous 5,800 mile mark is leaking AGAIN in the exact same place. The cover is on back order, as is my fork seals and was my rear valve cover gasket. So in 2 1/2 months of ownership, my bike has been in for 5 warranty issues. At least I can say, as for now, no rear hub issue. I do love this bike even with the warranty issues. But, I am growing tiresome of the consistency of stupid things, that on much cheaper motorcycles, I have owned, have not experienced the "ktm character"!

Sorry to hear about your issues, I've been keeping a close eye on all those trouble spots on mine, nothing yet, only have about 800 miles on the bike so far, but I did pick up a stupid construction staple in the rear tyre that even after a quick prayer before pulling it out that it didn't go all the way through, no such luck, the sound of the tyre pissing air wasn't exactly music to my ears...normally would just replace the tyre, but I'm getting cheap so I just dismounted and patched since the two little holes were almost center of the tyre. Just installed the KTM heated grips, you know how cold it gets here in Phoenix Hope your issues clear up, it is an awesome bike.

Scott huh. I just sent a powerparts seat to a Scott in California with a (black) super duke with only 800 miles on his bike too. And yes I put heated grips on my bike to because of the frigid Arizona weather. Plus I just mounted new tyres, not because of a staple (thank god) because at 7,200 miles my rear was done.

Funny how the site won't let us spell tyres the right way! Europeon spell check I guess.

Crazy how I had just mentioned to minimoto racer how I replaced my tyres because of mileage not a staple. Well the following day to "break in" my tyres I got a 3" screw in my 100 mile old tyre. But on the bright side (if there is one) since I decided to "patch" instead of plug the tyre, I needed to dismount the tyre. So I went ahead and did the preparations to have my rims powder coated orange to match the frame They are at the powder coaters now, should see them in 5-7 days. Unfortunately the weather here is in the mid 80's for at least that long.

The Yanks might spell it wrong, but even though you Poms invented it, for some reason you absolutely slaughter it when you speak it
