hi,
been thinking abut getting my 07 SDR serviced recently, i have had it about 5 week and put 1200 miles on since i got it. i bought it at 3800 and hes had 3 services done all costing around 350ish but im not sure about the big service people keep talking about so my question is....how much should it roughly cost and after how many miles hould it be done? also what does it involve?

Service intervals are at 4500 miles apart my local KTM Dealer charges around £200 for the minor and £350 for the major (valve clearance one) Although now mines out of warrenty i'll do it myself now.

Mine has done 7300 miles without the valve clearances being done and its fine. This was under advice from a KTM tech who said they didn't need doing til 9-10k miles.

I had the plugs done last time and reusable airfilter cleaned/oiled etc, it was £240. I still believe in dealer servicing but refuse to have parts/work done unnecessarily. They want the work they have to listen to what I want.
