After trying and failing to repair the base gasket on my SD I have decided to just pay someone else to do it. I'm thinking I'll have both base gaskets done at the same time even though only one is leaking.
The question is who do I take it to.
I've used Swampy at Marsh performance in Saltash for my KTM SM's and he's pretty dam good, but the mobile number I had for him doesn't work and the land line rings out.
The local dealer is JD racing and I have heard they have a decent mechanic these days which is good because I didn't rate the last one but I fear Main Dealer labour charges will be high.
Prepared to use anyone reliable in the southwest but they have to be good, as some of you know my bike spends 90% of it's life on the track so I can't be doing with the repair failing !

No-one in the southwest?
How about the south?
C'mon people help me out, the only quote I've had so far is £700 plus parts and that's not even local to me!

Did you use a gasket sealer on the basegaskets? Wellseal jointing compound is amazing and will seal it up a treat!

Look out for Bob Presslee or Kyle Pankhurst at woolbridge motorcycles. Both very well respected ex ktm dealers. They are in Wool, Dorset. Would take mine there over anyone else. Used to work for Sideways which was a fab dealer.
