Does this bike use a canbus system? I hooked up some ow power LED lights by tapping into the wire that powers the light above the headlight. Worked fine. Later tapped into the same wire for GPS power. Worked for a short while, then GPS and external LEDs lost power. The light above the headlight still works but is dim. I checked the voltage in that wire and now it reads about 5V. All of the fuses are fine. Any ideas??
TIA

Jeez!
Yes it's all canbus!
It has also 5 ecu's in it.
Anyone not familiar with vehicle electrics should not mess with it as you probably found out.
The 5v is assumingly the test signal, when turned on the voltage goes to 12v. The headlight comes on when you turn the key but then goes off unless you start the engine to avoid draining the battery.

Yes, learn the hard way I will... Mechanical guy screwing with electronics is always fun. I guess I will just tap off the battery to get power for GPS. Hopefully I have not screwed anything up. Everything else seems to work just fine.

Thanks, I will see if I can locate the alarm wire and go this route.
Appreciate the help!
