So I've managed to have a low speed off already, only owned the bike about 3 weeks! It was low speed, but the back span out and it slid/spun on it's right side, damaging the exhaust, bar end and engine cover.

I'm wondering, if I'm replacing the exhaust anyway, is there a better 3rd party option I should consider?

In Friday's rain?

I learnt how bad eight year old tyres can be........

No, in a dark supermarket car park. I think maybe I went over some cardboard on the road as I was leaning round a turn and it just slid the back end round. It was quite weird how fast the back swung away from me.

i recently had a highish speed off Andy, (over a 100K) only had the bike for a week (700Ks) and i trashed the right hand side, i went for a Remus muffler and link pipe, still waiting for new handle bars clutch cover, cornering light and indicator, heated grips, tank fearing, bottom of fork leg has minor damage so that can wait. i picked up a new set of foot pegs, both sides cheepish off Ebay. And i got the tank repaired and resprayed.

If had a 1290 and not the 990 what I have now , and it came to exhausts then there is only one that I would have and it's the austin racing exhaust that is one evil looking sounding pipe ,

^^^ Agree with Gazt. If U have almost $2000 USD the AR Hi-Slung is a sweet looking pipe.

Hey Andy, I have an AR GP3 (de-cat) in carbon lying in the garage not being used. It was only used for around 1,000 miles and looks pretty much brand new - if you're interested. I'm in Bromley so no need to ship.

Thanks Cheeheese. How much are you looking for?

I'm not sure about the decat yet, is it not just crazy loud?

Can I ask why you aren't using it yourself?

Reckon i'd take £380. Saw a gp1 low slung go for £460 on ebay last week before shipping.

It can be crazy loud with no db killer in but it comes with three different db killer inserts that you can change around to suit your need.

I took it off for the wife. She rides pillion quite often and she found it just a little too loud for the bluetooth intercom set up we have. And it also failed the 102db noise test at brands hatch. I found it easier just leaving on one set up rather than switching them around all the time.

The sound is awesome and I wish I could keep it on at all times.
