I've only ever experienced a quickshifter for a few hours while test riding a Ducati 899, but it was great fun!

Can I fit one to my 1290 R SE? Any suggestions? Rough prices perhaps?

Thanks!

from what I've read most recommend the DynoJet quick shifter. You would need to have the power commander in order to run the quick shifter setup.

If you look at Rottweiler Performance, they have the plug in setup for the SuperDuke. I just ordered the new "push/pull" set up from them last week. It will allow me to run standard shift for now but have the capability to switch to GP/reverse shift pattern in the future (if that's a need) without having to purchase a new module. They also sell it as a kit with the correct rod and ends so you can just bolt it up. from what I've read you might need to do some searching for a few small parts if you get just the shifter other places. It's worth it to me to have it all ready to go when I get it in the mail.

I should have it and have time to install it in another week or two. i'll take some photos and post up a review once I get it put in and get out to flog it a bit..

There is another brand that is an ignition cutout (vs. fuel with the dynojet) but some have reported problems with the system not cutting fuel. Mainly in RC8's being raced but from what I have read the DJ setup seemed to be the way to go. maybe someone else can chime in with more info on the other systems?

I would assume so. I am in the process of doing the same to my 2015 SDR. I cant see your SE being any different?. Apparently we should use a fuel shut off QS. Some issues on some bikes with the Ign cut offs. May be related to the unburnt fuel igniting in the exhaust pipe & taking out exhaust valves.
Heal Tech makes a Stand Alone unit. http://www.ktmsmt.com/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=8177. Which is a fuel cut-off, even though the website states its a ign cut off(unless they now changed that?)
Power Command also has a Stand Alone unit that is fuel cut off. EDIT. I just read SpeedyR reply. PC may not make a Stand alone unit for our 1290s yet. It may be worth the while purchasing that from Rotty.
There are a few others as well.

Tuneboy is working on a QS for the 1290, I have it installed on my Ducati Multistrada and it works pretty good. Plus with tuneboy you can load custom maps.
