Well apparently the SD has spark plugs that come from extraterrestrial sources from another planet that only deals with Europe as of now! I can't find anywhere in the U.S. that carries, at least the ngk lkar9bi9 plugs. Must not have a good relationship with the aleins. So in order for me to to get replacement spark plugs, I have to order from over seas. With my experience so far in dealing with KTM, I have decided to need to pre-plan my work far in advance in order to get the parts I need in a timely matter.

You have plenty of time. They are an iridium spark plug are designed to last well over 20.000km. (unless your name is Pikey, then order some asap! )

Try living in Oz, just about have to order everything from OS.
Usually quicker and definitely cheaper than obtaining locally or the eastern states.
Thank god for the interweb.

Yea I know I have time, but was just looking them up to get an idea of the cost. That's how I discovered how nearly unattainable parts for the 1290 are, this is after having to wait 41 days for my valve cover gasket to come in and about 35 for the seat cover. Never mind the rc8 and adventure have been out a while, the 1290 parts(such as valve gaskets)are "special". Don't get me wrong, I'm loving my 1290, but my first impressions of ktm's follow through in a timely fashion is very much on the shaky side.
