Couldn't find much on the topic so I'm curious if anyone has any first hand experience. Looking to do a 5 night/6 day ride and am wondering what luggage I may need...
Not interested in a tank bag unless it is super amazing and won't leave any trace/markings on the tank. So that leaves me with tail bag and maybe saddle bags but also don't want anything touching the plastics
Trying not to do a backpack but if need be I'm open to that also.

Thoughts?

Zack Courts from Motorcyclist magazine is doing a long term test of the 1290 and he has tried several sets of luggage.

You may be able to read his reviews in motorcyclist online dot com.

Hmmm. I didn't really want to take the 2 plastic cowlings off... but based on the functionality it may be worth the effort and money for the KTM bags.

I used Kriega bags last time I went on a trip. 2x 20l bags fit nicely on the tail.
