'07 SD, Akra slips, o2 gone, Block offs. Stock Air box.
Just had Valves done and all the rest: plugs, filter, fluids.
I'm passing the 30k mark and wanted to ask the community of those who have the SD at or above this milage: What do you do to maintain the SD at this point and beyond? I've replaced the waterpump and slave 18k ago.
Anything in particular I should be replacing or testing etc?
Any tips you have found outside of the manual you suggest at this mileage?
Some things to ask about:
Head bearings
Graphite gasket
BGP
Throttle body re-alignment
Fuel filter
Fork, shock oil

id replace the rectifier just because its gonna go and leave you stranded soon, do it just to feel better... did the wheel bearings and rad hoses as well (hose failed as did the clutch slave cylinder).

Saw today that the clutch lever actuator pin fell out of my rizoma's
AND my return throttle cable busted, WTF. Should have lubed it beforehand but it is over 30k
Prolly would not helped much.

John where'd you get your from? I'm due pretty soon. These things last 3x as long as aluminium.
Despite my throttle problem: went out with a buddy on his R1 up to Marshall shop for oysters
Beautiful day. Now back to my house in North Beach, front row seat on the roof top deck for fireworks by the Bay Bridge. You all are invited up, plenty of Moto parking out front;)

-Secondary butterflies: Reshape them into an oval shape, reinstall, or Pull them out completely? I've got to replace both throttle cables and wanted to install a new airbox, similar in design to Motohooligan's. So whilst I'm all in there, figured I'd consider this mod.
-Pipe wrap on headers? 'm going to replace my graphite gasket as I suspect its gone.. Figured I'd just wrap the whole thing..
I'm off tomorrow and plan an all day shop lift rental, I figure it will take all day with all this stuff, getting it done is more important than the time it takes me.
Just waiting for my TueneECU cable to show up, installing the '07 Smoothed Akra map, as per my conversation with Klink.
-John, I called SSprox and all they had were 38 and 41T
Surprised no 40. And neither in Orange(?)

Never had any issues with fuel pump filters but replaced them anyway at circa 30k miles and, surprisingly, OE replacements for failed OE battery and reg/rec are now approaching 50k miles.

Had that happen on one of my high mileage Ninjas. Coming back from a trip up in the Canadian Rockies. I was pushing my bike around in a camp site with the motor off on Mount Rainer. I like the slack taken out of the throttle cables and I think I over did it. I pushed on the loud handle and felt the cable snap. Great ! Luck had it it was the return cable and made it home without issue. It was a worry about the throtte sticking open but kept my eyes on the kill switch. Make sure you have the cables adjusted so the hard stops do the stoping instead of the tight cable does the stoping.

41t is on the list...
Popped in the Graphite sleeve today after much puzzling with the pipes and all.
No noticeable difference as I can tell but just had to be done.
Second run with the new air box, soooo good.
